About Welcome Week 2012
Welcome Week is the fall welcome program for all new students designed to help you make friends, learn your way around campus, and kick off the new school year. This university-wide experience is the final piece of your transition to college and is scheduled immediately before the start of fall semester classes. Welcome Week is a classic college experience, a place where memories are made!
With over 150 events to choose from, Welcome Week will keep you entertained and informed between move-in day and the first day of classes. Residence hall move-in will take place on Sunday, August 12 and Monday, August 13, and Welcome Week will run from August 14-19. The marquee event of Welcome Week 2012 is New Student Convocation, hosted by President V. Burns Hargis. This formal celebration of scholarship and tradition, to be held on Friday, August 17, inducts new students into the community of learners at Oklahoma State.
Campus is rocking during Welcome Week as the university rolls out the orange carpet to welcome new students—you don’t want to miss this! You’ll meet new people, get to know campus resources, learn how to be successful in college, and have fun! See you in August! |
